Atlanta Earth Day and Women’s Celebration at the Capitol.

You can also take a guided tour with UGA team members, learn about the history of this important building, and connect its past to the present by sharing your own experiences.

We will help you find your elected officials so you can become familiar with their offices and greet their staff. You’ll also have the opportunity to share your ideas directly with your State representatives.

The Georgia State Capitol offers a chance to learn how electricity and phone bills are shaped, and to meet the people who manage public funds and make decisions about parks and parking tickets.

If you’d prefer solar lighting on your street instead of traditional electric lighting, this is the place to express that.

If you want cleaner water with fewer chemicals, you can share that too.

You’ll also have the opportunity to visit offices and meet the people behind state government contracts, including representatives from the Governor’s Office and the Georgia Building Authority.

The most important thing is to create connections and build relationships at your own pace.

We will have live sessions and online sessions throughout the day, and you are welcome to volunteer and help improve the event so it fits your learning style.
