Now announces the appointment of Peter Herweck to the post of chairman of the board of directors, with immediate effect. Herweck succeeds Erik Langaker, who has held the post of president since 2020 and who left his duties after five years of leadership and invaluable services.
Herweck is a world leader and a very experienced board of directors, who has spent more than four decades in the fields of technology, industrial automation and advanced manufacturing. He recently held the CEO of Schneider Electric SE, where he directed the strategic transformation of the company and exploited the opportunities offered by the megatenances such as digitization, electrification and sustainable development to achieve record growth.
Herweck was notably CEO of Aveva Plc, a leader in industrial software classified at the FTSE 100, where he led the transition to SaaS models focused on the cloud and supervised the historic acquisition of Osisoft. Earlier in his career, he has held management positions at SIEMENS AG, notably that of Chief Executive of the Process Industries and Drives division, at the head of industrial automation and manufacturing technology on a global scale, as well as that of Director of Group Strategy, where he defined the business digitization and wallet strategy. Herweck is also a long -standing non -executive administrator of Teradyne Inc. (Nasdaq: TER), world leader in semiconductor testing equipment and industrial automation, and has a rich international experience, having lived and worked in Germany, China, Japan, Switzerland and the United States.
