Nominations have opened for the 2026 President’s Fulfilling the Dream Award.

The award celebrates individuals in the University of Georgia and Athens-Clarke County communities who are working to make Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream of equality and justice a reality. 

Recipients of the President’s Fulfilling the Dream Award will be recognized at the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Breakfast on Jan. 16, 2026. 

Award winners demonstrate commitment to volunteerism and civic engagement in addressing critical community issues, utilize Dr. King’s philosophy to reduce tensions, resolve conflict and foster goodwill and apply and apply his teachings to build bridges of understanding and unity. 

Nominations can be submitted HERE and are due by Oct. 15, 2025.
