Nakheel awards AED 810 million contract for marine construction at Palm Jebel Ali

Nakheel, a leading real estate developer in Dubai, has recently awarded an AED 810 million agreement for marine works at Palm Jebel Ali to Jan De Nul Dredging LTD. This significant investment will cover dredging, land reclamation, beach profiling, and sand placement, all of which are crucial for the development of villas on the island.

The completion of these marine works is expected to take just over two years, with the first eight fronds of the project set to be site-ready by the first quarter of 2025. This will enable the commencement of villa infrastructure and civil works, bringing the vision of Palm Jebel Ali closer to reality.

In addition to the marine works, Nakheel has also initiated the construction of a new family access road and roadway and lighting improvements from the mainland to Palm Jebel Ali. These infrastructure projects are essential for ensuring smooth connectivity to the island and enhancing the overall accessibility for residents and visitors.

Palm Jebel Ali, overseen by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is set to offer a wide range of luxury lifestyle amenities for its residents. This development not only supports the Dubai Economic Agenda 2030 but also signifies the beginning of a new growth corridor in the Jebel Ali area, highlighting the continuous expansion of the emirate.

Khalid Al Malik, Prominent Executive Officer of Dubai Holding Real Estate, emphasized the commitment to excellence and innovation in partnering with Jan De Nul Dredging for this project. The expertise of the company in marine, civil construction, and environmental projects will play a crucial role in accelerating the progress of Palm Jebel Ali and ensuring high-quality standards in development.

The recent unveiling of over 700 units of Phase 1 frond villas at Palm Jebel Ali showcases the unique blend of indoor and outdoor living in a serene coastal environment. With infrastructure and marine works progressing smoothly, these homes are scheduled for delivery by late 2026, offering residents a luxurious waterfront lifestyle with access to pristine beachfronts and waters.

Overall, the AED 810 million agreement for marine works at Palm Jebel Ali marks a significant milestone in the development of this iconic project. With a clear focus on sustainability, quality living, and innovation, Palm Jebel Ali is poised to become a global destination that sets new standards in luxury living and waterfront experiences.
