HomeSafe Alliance Celebrates Historical First 100 Army Strikes, Prepares to Increase Transformative Relocation Program

HomeSafe Alliance Completes First 100 Military Moves with Digitized Relocation Program

HOUSTON, Sept. 3, 2024 – HomeSafe Alliance, the leading family items relocation manager under the Global Household Goods Contract (GHC), has successfully executed the first 100 military moves of its innovative, digitized relocation program. Expanding its operations to include interstate moves and new locations, HomeSafe is poised to lead all household goods moves for United States service members, Coast Guard personnel, DoD civilians, and their families.

“In executing our historic first 100 moves, HomeSafe has refined our processes, enhanced our technology, improved our training protocols, and proven our program is a game-changer for military families,” said Bobby Nicholson, HomeSafe’s Chief Executive Officer. “We are excited about the opportunity to provide exceptional move experiences to more service members in more locations soon.”

The initial 100 moves conducted by HomeSafe were local shipments within California, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, or Washington. According to U.S. Transportation Command, which awarded the GHC, local shipments will expand to 16 additional military installations and bases in September. Additionally, the first GHC moves across state lines will commence on transportation lanes connecting Norfolk, Virginia, to Seattle, Washington, Jacksonville, Florida, and San Diego, California.

In the first 100 moves of HomeSafe’s program, service members have reported highly positive experiences through the DoD-administered Customer Satisfaction Survey. As of August 27, 96% of survey respondents expressed satisfaction with their moves. Service members praised HomeSafe and its moving partners for effective communication, careful handling of household goods, and overall improved experience compared to previous military moves.

With HomeSafe’s personalized customer support approach, service members can reach a knowledgeable move counselor 24/7 through various communication channels within the HomeSafe Secured technology platform. On average, HomeSafe responds to calls in 5 seconds, texts in 9 seconds, emails in 30 seconds, and chats in 11 seconds.

As the primary GHC contractor, HomeSafe manages a network of subcontractors, mostly small businesses, that perform packing, transportation, warehousing, and delivery services. Sixteen moving companies completed the first 100 GHC moves, with HomeSafe’s approach incentivizing performance to help partners grow their businesses.

HomeSafe is dedicated to revolutionizing and digitizing relocations for U.S. service members, DoD civilians, and their families. With state-of-the-art technology and personalized customer service, HomeSafe provides high-quality moving experiences. Services include a customized digital dashboard, a digitized inventory of household items, advanced barcoding for tracking, and more.
