Durham Philanthropist, Rebecca Feinglos, and Major Academic Medical Center Launch Groundbreaking Grief Initiative

Program Will Provide Grief Care for Cancer Patients, their Families, and Healthcare Providers

DURHAM, N.C., Aug. 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Rebecca Feinglos, founder of the North Carolina-based philanthropic fund the Feinglos Fund and grief support organization Grieve Leave, announced today a $250,000 donation to the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University for the creation of the Susan & Mark Feinglos Grief Initiative, an innovative, comprehensive grief support program. The initiative, named in honor of Feinglos’ parents, will be designed to meet the mental and emotional needs of the patients, families, and healthcare providers who must grapple with the often-overlooked grief that accompanies devastating diagnoses of cancer.
