BERLIN, 23. November 2025 /PRNewswire/ — From November 18 to 20, Midea Air Conditioning presented a comprehensive portfolio of sustainable innovations at C&R 2025, Spain’s leading trade fair for air conditioning, heating, cooling and ventilation professionals. These include Midea’s R290 series, ECOMASTER system, portable PortaSplit and modular H-Pack solution, highlighting the company’s leadership in energy efficiency, natural refrigerants and smart air conditioning.
Midea’s R290 series reflects the brand’s “GREEN VISION BLUE FUTURE” philosophy. Midea, which was the first company in the world to commercialize R290 air conditioners, began its journey in 2010 with a pilot production line funded by the United Nations. The company currently operates twelve state-of-the-art production lines with an annual production capacity of 6.4 million units. The company’s R290 solutions have spread widely across global markets, contributing significantly to reducing CO2 emissions and influencing international standards for environmentally friendly refrigerants.
Midea, with the help of more than 10,000 engineers and 42 pilot laboratories, has developed an R290 product matrix that covers the entire spectrum. These offerings span residential, commercial and industrial applications and reflect the company’s strategic vision to make green technology scalable and accessible.
Another highlight was the ECOMASTER, an artificial intelligence (AI) energy saving system that optimizes the performance of Midea devices, especially air conditioners, to reduce energy consumption. ECOMASTER continuously monitors indoor and outdoor weather conditions and makes real-time adjustments with a tolerance of ±0.3°C. This ensures consistent comfort while optimizing energy consumption and enables energy savings of over 30%.
Integrated into models such as Solstice and Solunar, the system sets new standards in terms of efficiency. Solstice has Class A+++ cooling performance and Class A++ heating performance, while Solunar has Class A++ cooling performance and Class A+ heating performance. Both models represent the next generation of intelligent, sustainable air conditioning systems.
The PortaSplit portable air conditioner also attracted a lot of attention. Designed for high performance and installation flexibility, this unit features a SEER rating of 6.1 and a SCOP rating of 4.0. The design is suitable for a variety of European window types including French balconies, skylights and horizontal sash windows. This adaptability makes it suitable for a variety of home styles, from modern homes to historic buildings. Our stand demonstrated the tool-free, three-step installation process, which has already resulted in strong market demand and a sell-out launch in France.
Also introduced was the H-Pack, a compact heating solution selected for this year’s C&R Innovation Gallery, which focuses on low global warming potential refrigerants, digital controls and circular economy principles. Developed by Midea’s European R&D team, the H-Pack uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R290, eliminating the need for an external unit. The modular, indoor design ensures seamless compatibility with gas boiler systems and simplifies installation and maintenance. Combining efficiency, versatility and a space-saving structure, it offers a cost-effective approach to modern heating. Live demonstrations by German experts also illustrated the user-friendly architecture and the practical advantages in practice.
Beyond product innovation, Midea promoted professional engagement through interactive workshops held throughout the event. These sessions promoted professional exchange and deepened collaboration within the industry. The brand expanded its presence beyond the exhibition hall through advertising campaigns showcasing its dual sponsorship partnership with Manchester City and Sevilla FC in Gran Vía, Feria de Madrid and IFEMA. With this, Midea underlined its commitment to passion, social commitment and excellence.
Midea continues its mission to drive intelligent transformation in residential and industrial environments. With a focus on sustainability and innovation, the company strives for a future characterized by collaboration between humans and machines. With the integration of KUKA industrial robotics and MIRA home automation technologies, Midea strives to redefine efficiency and enhance the human experience to empower people to pursue creativity and progress.
